On October 22, 2019, at the Department of Environmental Management and Engineering, Faculty of Natural Sciences, L.N. Gumilyov ENU, on the initiative of the Association of Practicing Ecologists, a seminar was held for graduate students with the participation of foreign experts, an adviser on waste management and management policy waste in Sweden, Wayne Wikwist, Lund University professor Thomas Linkwist and Chairman of the Association of Practicing Ecologists in Kazakhstan Laura Malikova.

On November 6, in the school gymnasium under the direction of the Dean of the faculty of Natural Sciences, doctor of medical Sciences Shapekova N. L., the head of the centre for career guidance and testing Aralkhanov S. S., and also under the guidance of Professor, doctor of geographical sciences Saparov K. T. and Professor, doctor of pedagogical Sciences А. A. Saipov, with the active participation of 4th year students of the specialty "Geography" was a planned career guidance.
