On April 19-21, 2023, the XV Republican student subject Olympiad in the group of educational programs "B053 - CHEMISTRY" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The Olympiad was held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of KazNU. AlFarabi in 2 rounds: theoretical and experimental. In accordance with this, the following were organized and carried out:
1) the first is a theoretical round, in which the participants of the Olympiad were offered to solve problems in the following disciplines:
1. Inorganic chemistry
2. Organic chemistry (with elements of physical and chemical research methods)
3. Physical chemistry
4. Analytical chemistry
2) the second - the experimental round, in which the participants of the Olympiad were offered the solution of an experimental problem in the laboratory. 12 teams from 9 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the Chemistry Olympiad.
Two teams took part from the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the LN Gumilyov ENU. Members of the "Molecule" team: Malgazhdarova A.B., 6B05301-Applied Chemistry, 4th year; Mendaliev G.K., 6В05302-Inorganic Chemistry, 4 course; Moldabaeva M.S., 6В05301-Applied Chemistry. Members of the Curiosity voyage team: Irbaeva S.E., 6B05303-Chemistry of organic substances and polymers, 4th year student; Karabaeva A.M., 6B05303-Chemistry of organic substances and polymers, 4th year student; Seidakhmed N.S., 6B05302-Inorganic chemistry, 3rd year. Team leaders: Ph.D., acting professor Mashan T.T., PhD, senior lecturer Tashenov E.O.
As a result of two rounds in the team championship, the «Curiosity voyage» team took the second prize, the «Molecule» team took the third prize and were awarded Diplomas and valuable prizes.
The 3rd year student Seidakhmed Nurdaulet Seidakhmeduly became the winner of the Olympiad in the individual championship and was awarded the Diploma of the 2nd degree.
