In the period from 09/01/2021 to 11/07/2021 at the Department of Physical and Economic Geography of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the 2nd year doctoral students of the specialty Geography completed pedagogical practice. The duration of the internship was 10 weeks, with a volume of 10 credits.

The goal of teaching practice was to consolidate and deepen knowledge in pedagogical, methodological and special disciplines, as well as to form pedagogical skills, skills and competence on the basis of theoretical knowledge.
The main tasks of teaching practice were:
Ø consolidation of the experience of pedagogical activity;
Ø improving teaching and learning methods;
Ø application of the foundations of pedagogical excellence;
Ø instilling the skills and abilities of independent teaching and teaching activities;
Ø mastering the skills of scientific, psychological and pedagogical research;
Ø knowledge of innovative teaching technologies;
implementation of an individual approach to students in the course of educational work, taking into account the peculiarities of their development.

On the first day of practice, the head of pedagogical practice Saparov K.T. held a setting conference during where the goals and objectives were explained, as well as the requirements.
Doctoral students conducted lectures and practical classes for undergraduate and graduate students of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography online and offline.
In the course of pedagogical practice, doctoral students used the following methods in conducting the lesson: case studies, insert, fishbone, SWOT analysis, problem learning methods etc.
On November 12, 2021, a final conference was held, where doctoral students reported on the results of pedagogical practice. The commission headed by the head of the department Ramazanova N.S., having heard the reports of the trainees, made comments and gave the necessary advice to the doctoral students.
