In the 2020 academic year, 121 students entered the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Department of Physical and Economic Geography for a bachelor's degree in the specialties of the direction of "Earth Sciences".
Of these, 92 students for the specialty "Geography" of the scientific direction, 8 students for training teachers in Geography and 16 students for the specialty "Hydrology".
In addition, 15 students were admitted to the master's degree in scientific geography, 9 students - to the training of teachers in geography, 2 master's students in hydrology.
On August 28 at 11.00 in the Zoom platform, an online meeting was held for all 1st year students in geography and hydrology with the head of the department of physical and economic geography, associate professor, doctor Phd, Ramazanova Nurgul Yesenovna, professor, doctor of geological sciences, Dzhanaleeva Gulzhan Mukhitovna and freshman curators were also present.
During the meeting, the teaching staff, represented by the head of the department Nurgul Yesenovna, professor Gulzhan Mukhitovna and curators of 1 year students, congratulated the students and wished them success, introduced them to the Platonus system, curriculum, online programs. Also, answers were given to students' questions of interest.
Curators Saipov A.A., Sadvakasova S.R., Kunbasova D.M. , Erzhanova Zh.S., Zhanguzhina A.A. also held individual meetings with their groups, introduced them to the introduced credit training system.
