«INDEPENDENCE - PLEDGE OF WELFARE OF THE COUNTRY»

December 14 at the Department of Physical and Economic Geography of the Faculty of Natural Sciences held a solemn event on the topic "Independence – pledge of welfare of the country", dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the supervision of the curator of the first course of magistracy in the specialty "Geography" Inkarova Zhanslu Ishanovna.

The event began with a hymn. In addition, undergraduates made an overview of the history of the Kazakh people. They remembered and talked about the first Kazakh khanate, khans and batyrs that protect our country and land.

Since 1991, since our independence, our country has made great strides. The main achievement is our capital, Astana.

The city of Astana is the city of the future Kazakh people. Astana is a bridge that connects Eurasia and Asia, the heart of the entire Kazakh people. The decision to transfer the capital from Almaty to Akmola was made by the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan on July 6, 1994.

The official transfer of the capital to Astana was made on December 10, 1997. By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 6 May 1998, Akmola was renamed to Astana. In 1999, by the decision of UNESCO, Astana was awarded the title of "World City". Currently, the territory of Astana is more than 722 square kilometers, the population of more than 1 million people. Astana becomes an international, business and cultural center. The city is building administrative, business, social, cultural, scientific, educational institutions and business centers, residential complexes.

The magistrates talked about international organizations in Astana.

In addition, it was said about the international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana, which was held from June 10 to September 10, 2017, where it was visited by about 3 million people. EXPO-2017 became one of the largest projects in Kazakhstan with the theme "Future Energy" ("Future Energy") and with the participation of 115 countries and 22 international organizations. This event was a significant achievement of Kazakhstan's independence.

Master of the 1st course Abdukamal Abunasir recited his poem dedicated to Independence.

Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Shapekova Nelya Lukpanovna, head of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography Saparov Kuat Tabyldinovich, professors Dzhanaleeva Gulzhan Mukhitovna, Mazbaev Ordenbek Blisbekovich and Zaurbek Auelbek Karibaevich, senior lecturer Kerimbai Bayan Suleimenovna and others took part in the event. They gave a speech and congratulated Independence Day.
