The annual Summer School for employees and students of our university, organized by the Department of General Biology and Genomics and the Research Institute of Cell Biology and Biotechnology on the topic "Actual Problems of Modern Biology" continued this year.

The special guests of the summer school were Associate Professor of the Department of Molecular Oncopathology of the Institute for the Study of Atomic Bomb Victims of the University of Nagasaki (Japan) MD, PhD, Zhanna Musazhanova; head of the laboratory of genomic and personalized medicine "National laboratory Astana" Nazarbayev University MD, PhD, Ainur Akilzhanova; Head of the Laboratory of Stem Cells of the National Center for Biotechnology, PhD, Professor Vyacheslav Ogay. In addition, doctoral students graduates of the department made presentations: researcher at the laboratory of genomic and personalized medicine "National laboratory Astana" Nazarbayev University M.R. Zhalbinova, researcher at the laboratory of molecular biotechnology of the National Center for Biotechnology A.M. Turgimbayeva, and researcher at the laboratory of biochemistry and genetics of microorganisms of the National Center for Biotechnology S.A. Aktaeva They shared their experience and news in the world of science, research work, which was further actively discussed among the participants.
