The Department of Chemistry of the L. N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University and the Republican Scientific and Practical Center «Daryn» of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan cooperate productively in organizing and conducting events aimed at training members of national chemistry teams representing our country in the international arena. It is planned to hold training sessions twice a year. Winter training sessions were held from December 12 to December 17, 2022 in preparation for the 57th International Mendeleev Olympiad, which was attended by 15 students from different regions of the republic, and summer training sessions were held on May 29-30, 2023, 19 students took part in them. According to the results of the summer training sessions, applicants for the World Chemistry Olympiad will be selected.
The coach of the National team of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Chemistry was the acting associate professor of the Department of Chemistry, PhD Tosmaganbetova Kuldi Suleimenovna. She organized and conducted laboratory work on qualitative and quantitative methods of analytical chemistry analysis.
Solutions and installations necessary for laboratory work were prepared by the staff of the department Parimbek Perizat Alibekkyzy and Abdramanova Sholpan Smaiylkyzy.
Further cooperation in the preparation of future winners of the Olympiad will be continued jointly with the Republican Scientific and Practical Center «Daryn» and the Department of Chemistry.
