Almost 40% of Kazakhstan teenagers aged 15-17 years drink alcohol. "Among schoolchildren aged 13-15, 14.8% smoke daily, 18.1% of teenagers aged 12-15 consume alcohol, and 37% of 15-17–year-olds already do. Most of the children and about 90% of young people do not know or do not understand about the harmful consequences of drug addiction, smoking and alcohol consumption," S. Aitpayeva said (2019).
