4th-year students of the Geography specialty, Faculty of Natural Sciences completed the internship, which took place from January 17 to February 26, 2022, a total of 26 students completed the internship.
Students admitted to industrial professional practice after mastering the program of theoretical and practical training. This type of practice is aimed at developing and deepening general and professional competencies, checking readiness to complete theses, checking the ability to work independently. The practice contributes to the formation of the general cultural and professional competencies of the student.
The purpose of the practice:
Ø consolidation of knowledge and skills acquired by the student as a result of mastering the theoretical course;
Ø mastering by the student the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities in production work;
Ø formation of competencies in the field of professionally-oriented (special) production.
The course of practice:
ü full implementation of the internship program, keeping a practice diary in the form approved by the university;
ü compliance with the internal rules of places of practice by the practice base;
ü fill out the practice diary, write down all the activities carried out in the diary, analyze the results of the control;
ü timely submit to the department a report on practice (review or characteristic, written report), certified and signed with the seal of the place of practice;
ü to perform tasks on the internship program promptly, to report on time, to be active at the final conference;
ü if you do not complete the internship for health reasons or other valid reasons within the prescribed period, pay off the internship program at other times.
To achieve the goal , the following tasks were set:
v improving the student's special knowledge and its application in the implementation of the production;
v to acquaint the student with the real work of production (the specifics of official duties, the direction of activity, traditions, and innovations in the organization of work);
v the formation of the student's skills:
a) organizational, aimed at the implementation of their production activities;
b) communicative, related to the verbal and non-verbal communication of the student-intern with colleagues;
v increasing the student's interest in professional production activities;
v the development of the student's ability to express speech, hearing, etc., as well as professionally important qualities (inclination to the listener, stress tolerance, professional ethics, and professional ethics).
Due to the emergency in the Republic of Kazakhstan introduced in January 2022, as well as the current epidemiological situation, about 80% of the company's employees were transferred to a remote work format, therefore, in January-February, students were not accepted for practical training. After all, for security reasons, it was not possible to complete an internship in an offline format.
The internship took place by the academic calendar and the program of the internship. All heads of departments had constant contact with interns and heads of practice.
The main bases of practical training are remotely "Kazzinc", "Arcelor Mittal Temirtau", Aktobe chrome deposit, Chemical farm, Ural plant "Zenit", Zhezkazgan copper deposit, "Rodina", "Foodmaster", "Stolichny bread", "Shulbinskaya HPP", "Zenchenko and Co.", "Superphosphate", Silicate plant,"Standard cement","Builder","Shymkent Refinery".
At the end of the internship, the final conference was held. During the conference, students demonstrated the knowledge gained during practice, showed their presentations. Following the results of the conference, the heads of departments accepted the students' accounting documents and gave a positive assessment of the internship.
