October 13, 2017 in the East Kazakhstan State University named after S. Amanzholov at the international scientific and practical conference the ceremony of rewarding with the medal "For special merits" was held. Saparov Kuat Tabildinovich, Head of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography, Professor of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, was awarded a medal of distinction in this ceremony.
The international scientific and practical conference "Amanzholov readings-2017" was held within the framework of the event "Formation of the paradigm of a new consciousness: preservation of history and creation of the foundation of the future" dedicated to the 65-th anniversary of S.Amanzholov EKSU in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. The Head of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor Saparov Kuat Tabyldinovich made a presentation on "Problems of Development of the Geographical Direction of Applied Toponymics in the Example of the East Kazakhstan Region". In addition, Saparov Kuat Tabyldinovich held a meeting with teachers and young scientists of the S. Amanzholov EKSU in the city Ust-Kamenogorsk.
