On February 28, 2020, the faculty of Natural Sciences of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University held a methodological seminar on the topic "Application of innovative technologies in the educational process" for University teachers.
The purpose of the seminar is to activate the process of introducing best practices in teaching and innovative learning technologies in the educational activities of the University.
During the seminar, participants reviewed new approaches to University teaching in the preparation of highly qualified personnel and listened to a lecture by master of science, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography DaribayTimurOkasovich, who took advanced training courses at a leading University in Omsk.
The seminar was held in several modules:
- foreign experience in applying innovations in the development of higher education;
- modern teaching-learning technology;
- innovative learning technologies and teaching methods;
- use of IT technologies in the educational process.
The seminar discussed topical issues of implementing e-learning, distance learning, and online learning; the effectiveness of learning and its importance for the formation of competencies; and factors for using modern learning methods (active Plenum, working in groups, learning through research, and more. etc.).
During the discussions, the speaker answered questions from participants of the methodological seminar.
