Material and technical resources

The Department of "Management and Engineering in the field of Environmental Protection" has the necessary complex of educational (audience) and educational and scientific laboratories that provide laboratory, practical and research work of students. In 2019, a branch of the department was opened on the basis of the "Botanical Garden of Nur-Sultan".

The educational process at the levels of bachelor's degree 6B05208-Ecology and nature management, master's degree 7M05206 – Environmental protection and rational use of natural resources and 7M05207 – Natural Resources Management and doctoral degree 8D05208-Ecology and Nature management, is carried out in the 4-storey academic building No. 3. The training area for 1 student of the given contingent is more than 7 sq.m. taking into account two shifts of classes. In the course of training, 6 classrooms are involved, mainly for 22 seats, 4 specialized offices, 4 training laboratories, 1 reading room for 22 seats. The training rooms are equipped with modern educational furniture, computer equipment, traditional and multimedia boards, stands, laboratory equipment, visual stands.

At the department, at the expense of the funds of the European Union Project Erasmus+, an ecological and analytical laboratory was created, equipped with modern expensive equipment of such well-known manufacturers as: Shimazu (Japan), Perkin-Elmer (USA), Dionex (USA), Consort (Belgium), Asis (Austria), Nospitex-diagnostics (France), Eppedorf (Germany), etc.

In the laboratory, students perform coursework, graduation papers, the results of which are published in the materials of regional, national and international conferences. This work is supervised by the scientific supervisors of the students

Laboratory of Soil Science and Environmental Monitoring (room No. 143), equipped with all the necessary equipment to perform laboratory classes on environmental monitoring, soil science, environmental chemistry. Students learn methods of studying the composition and properties of soils, as well as environmental monitoring, based on the measurement of various physical properties of compounds or simple substances. These properties include: density, surface tension, viscosity, absorption of radiant energy (X-rays, ultraviolet, visible, infrared radiation and microwaves), opacity, radiation (as a result of excitation), Raman scattering, refractive index, dispersion, fluorescence and phosphorescence, diffraction of X-rays and electrolytes, etc. One of the main tasks of physical and chemical analysis is to study the relationship between the composition and properties of chemically equilibrium systems, which is the soil. You can get acquainted with the laboratory equipment here.

 

 

The Laboratory of Human Ecology and Alternative Energy (room 144А) is equipped with devices and equipment for conducting research in the field of medical ecology, ecophysiology. The Laboratory of Ecology and Water Management also operates on the basis of this laboratory (room 144). You can get acquainted with the laboratory equipment here. Below is a laboratory installation for the treatment of borehole and underground water.

The Laboratory of Biochemistry of Microorganisms (room 147) is equipped with all the necessary equipment for conducting classes on the ecology of animals, plants and microorganisms, environmental biotechnology.. This laboratory is engaged in the development and optimization of the parameters of deep cultivation of probiotic biologics based on active strains of ICD (L. paracasei 9C, P. pentosaceus 10 / 9K, L. fermentum 24C) in a laboratory fermenter.

 

 

 

The Laboratory of Applied Ecology (room 151A) is equipped with everything necessary for conducting classes in soil science, agroecology and ecosystem dynamics, and rational use of land resources.
