Seminar was held for graduate students

On October 22, 2019, at the Department of Environmental Management and Engineering, Faculty of Natural Sciences, L.N. Gumilyov ENU, on the initiative of the Association of Practicing Ecologists, a seminar was held for graduate students with the participation of foreign experts, an adviser on waste management and management policy waste in Sweden, Wayne Wikwist, Lund University professor Thomas Linkwist and Chairman of the Association of Practicing Ecologists in Kazakhstan Laura Malikova.
The students listened to the following reports:
1. “Integration of students into the global network of environmental protection and forestry.” Speaker Malikova Laura, Chairman of the Association of Practical Ecologists of Kazakhstan. The community is engaged in continuing education for environmentalists, works with government agencies and promotes the employment of environmentalists.
2. "State regulation of waste management." Weyne Vikvet correspondent, policy and waste management adviser. He has extensive experience in technical infrastructure and legal frameworks in Sweden, the European Union and abroad. He has a high level of managerial experience in associations and operating companies. He is an adviser to the Swedish government and works in many commissions and working groups. 3."Depository system for waste management." Speaker Thomas Linguist, a professor at Lund University, is working on a depository waste management system.
The aim of the seminar was to help students participate in the global network of environmental protection and forestry, to send graduates interested in waste management, to introduce students to the depository system of waste management.
